cat-saraCat Fostering

From time to time we accept cats brought in by the local Inspector or Animal Collection Officer, who need veterinary treatment.

We have no facilities for keeping cats at the clinic so we “foster” the cat with an approved member of the public until we can find it a home. Fosterers need to be experienced in looking after cats and have the time and space to do this. They also need to provide love, attention and security as the cat will not be allowed outside. This will be for a short time only until the cat can be re homed. If you think you can help in this way please contact the clinic on 01245 478886.

Mature Cats

We often get elderly or mature cats brought to us who for many reasons have no home or the owner cannot be found. These cats make good companions but often need on going veterinary care. We are looking for mature people of a certain age to offer a kind home to an elderly cat. We will provide all veterinary care free we ask you to provide food and love. If you are interested please contact the clinic on 01245 478886.

Re-homing

We are NOT a re-homing centre! We CAN NOT accept animals from members of the public for re-homing, we can only provide a list of centres that will, from time to time, accept cats and dogs for re-homing. There is a national problem of unwanted animals - cats, dogs, rabbits, and small “furries” in general and horses - all seeking new loving homes and most re-homing centres have long waiting lists!

Stray and Unwanted Animals

These are animals brought into the branch by members of the public or National RSPCA Inspectors. All animals are given veterinary treatment and if they are a stray we try to find the owner. If no owner comes forward all cats are found loving homes. The branch has no facility for re homing dogs so all dogs go to local re homing centres.

Please call us on 01245 478886 or email us if you are interested in the available cats for re-homing or fostering.
